If the documents were originally issued in English, French or Spanish, no. If the documents were issued in other languages, they must be translated into Portuguese by certified translation if the institution chosen to assess your request considers this necessary. The competent recognition authority may decide that, as an alternative to Portuguese, the translation may be made into English, Spanish or French. This certification must cover the content of the translation and not only the signatures of those involved in the acts in question.
